About Our Founder
Founder of The PMI Guy, Carl Snoey brings over 25 years of experience in metallurgy, welding-metallurgy, inspection, and QA/QC across industries such as oil & gas (onshore and offshore), petrochemical, power generation, and fabrication.
Carl has worked globally—in China, India, Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Europe, and North America—gaining exposure to diverse fabrication and manufacturing environments. His qualifications include:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering (specialized in metallurgy & welding)
- IIW (International Institute of Welding) - IWP , IWT, and IWE professional qualifications
- CSA W178.2 Level 3 (ASME VIII & IX and CSA W47.1/W59)
- API 510 Inspector Certification
- NRCan XRF PMI Operator Level 1 & 2
